Are you as good a pilot as Frank Thomas?Frank Thomas has close on 9,000 hours in his log book. He has a CPL/IR and an Instructors' Rating. He has a gift for teaching people to fly and he has taught something like 1,000 pupils.
Frank is only one of nearly 50 Flying Instructors with the Oxford Air Training Schools at Kidlington and Carlisle. They have similar backgrounds and all are equally able. The Oxford Air Training School does not bother with Instructors who are not as good as Frank. Numbers of them apply for jobs because they know Oxford is not only the biggest training school in Europe but also the most respected. We interview them all and test a great many. And we reject most because they are just not good enough. We have built our reputation on the quality of the Instructors we employ and we guard our reputation jealously.
We are equally fastidious in our selection of Ground School Technical Instructors. So fastidious in fact that we find them very hard to get. We need some more now.
So, if you fancy yourself to emulate Frank Thomas or think you are good enough to join The Oxford Air Training School as a Ground School Instructor, write to The Principal, Mr Rex Smith.
We have long term professional pilot training courses starting August, September and October this year and in February 1971. There are a few places left in the October and February courses but the first two courses are full.
