AVRO First In Grosvenor Cup

The Avro AVIS - fitted with a-Bristol "Cherub" engine, and piloted by B. Hinkler, won the Grosvenor Cup at Lympne, on Oct. 4th, 1924. The machine ,covered the course of 100 miles in 1 hr. 31 mins. 5 secs., averaging 65·89 m.p.h.
