AIRSPEED have produced for 1933 the fastest British commercial aeroplane and one of the most economical per passenger-mile.

The Airspeed Courier is the first British aircraft to be fitted with a retractor undercarriage . The simple fool-proof mechanism has won the admiration of impartial experts.

Because the retractor undercarriage eliminates useless drag, the "Courier" carries six people and luggage or mails at 160 m.p.h with a stalling speed of 50 m.p.h and the expenditure of only 240 h.p. Cruising at 140 m.p.h . the "Courier" opens a new field to the operator who wishes to combine high speed with low operation costs.

As in the "Ferry" Airspeed Ltd. are once more pioneers of economical flying.
