ADC Limited - The Aircraft Disposal Company

Three national aircraft factories were established by the Cunard Steamship Co in 1917 and started production the following year. There were factories, Aintree in Liverpool, Waddon in Croydon, and at Stockport near Manchester. These factories objectives were to aid the war effort by "mass producing" aircraft to supply the recently formed Royal Air Force. Production goals were determined the newly-created Air Ministry.

After the First World War ended in 1918 the National Aircraft Factories became the Aircraft Disposal Company whose goals were to sell modify or otherwise supply/manufacture War surplus aircraft according to civilian or military customer requirements.
